Still Alive

I’m still kicking, been busy with work and playing video games. In my final year of college as well which means the home stretch for my apprenticeship, once it is done I have a job lined up with the place as they want to keep me on after my training is completed. It is a major relief as otherwise I would have had to find another place to take me on and that would have involved me moving across the country to be close enough to commute.

I did a quick check of my site with the Nu WC3 Validator and discovered that several of my journal images had no alt tags and my generator was putting the CSS header stuff before the DOCTYPE which was causing all the void elements to be created with trailing slashes. This has now been fixed. I plan to update how my site is generated anyway which should allow for easer updates of journal entries, I want to generate the page using Markdown files while still maintaining the article structure that the ‘HTML Blog’ format expects.

I also finally want to make a proper home page rather than just splashing my journal as the homepage and calling it a day.
